Through Empowerment Forum, we use media as a tool to empower communities, particularly marginalized groups, by providing them with strategic training for sustainable development.

Community Media Empowerment Forum (CMEF) is a youth-focused multimedia and digital literacy program designed to empower young people with essential skills in multimedia production, responsible digital communication, ethical content creation, leadership, fact-checking, and online safety.
The campaign also seeks to combat the spread of misinformation, disinformation, and harmful digital influence, which continues to affect youth and communities across Kenya—highlighted by tragedies such as Shakahola that exposed the destructive power of unchecked misinformation.
The program aims at reaching more than 20,000 youth across 25 counties located in remote areas inKenya Embakasi’s wards during this first Nairobi rollout.
The workshop will equip participants with:
- Media
production and digital storytelling
- Ethical
and responsible content creation
- Identifying
and countering misinformation
- Use of
digital platforms for safe evangelism and community education
- Structured
media department management within institutions
